The Caprioglio Architects was founded in 1999 as natural prosecution, progress and unification of the offices based in Veneto and Friuli of architect Giovanni Caprioglio whom, with the son Filippo Caprioglio, gives more run to one new professional reality extended not only the national territory, but that expands it’s own possibilities also to international experiences and of the industrial design.
The values that the study promotes are those of the advanced culture of the project, above all for its attention to the real requirements of the client and of the historical and physical atmosphere in which it becomes part. 
From the great publics complexes to the private building, the job of the Caprioglio Associates has fixed, in its temporal distance, episodes that have characterized the territory of belongings and enriched the research, technical and formal, of which the contemporary architecture it has made the own flag. The Italian design is one of the enrichment values that the office can offer among the other peculiarities.

Filippo Caprioglio

Filippo Caprioglio

Educated in Architecture at the University of Venice IUAV Filippo Caprioglio received his degree in 1997. He went on to receive a Master of Architecture degree March II from Syracuse University in 2001. He practices with Caprioglio Associati Architects as a founding member along with his father, Giovanni and also as individual. The firm focuses on residential projects, adaptive reuse, retail store design and concept, offices, and international competitions in Italy and internationally. He engages in applied research through industrial design. The research of the detail is his goal in every project he works on. He designs lighting fixtures and household objects for Italian and international producers. In 2011 he won The Chicago Athenaeum, international industrial design Good Design Award, one of the international most prestigious prizes with the lamp IXI, designed for Leucos.
Since 2002 he actively teaches for several American universities in Italy and in the US. In 2008 the University of Maryland named him Kea Distinguished Professor, than served as Visiting Professor of Practice at Drury University and as Vitsing professor at the China Academy of Art invited by Professor Wang Shu in Hangzhou, China. Since 2008 he teaches for the kent state university in Florence the most significant projects had been published on books and magazines among whom The New York Times, l’Arca, Dwell, Domus, The Plan. He also wrote articles and gave lectures about his research through his works and projects.
